Ken Davies, FCMC
Ken Davies is a Certified Management Consultant based in Calgary, specializing in Information Technology and Financial Management. Mr. Davies graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree. Prior to starting Lumina more than 20 years ago, he spent four years as a Senior Consultant with two international management consulting firms and five years working in the North American petroleum industry. Mr. Davies is a past President of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Alberta and past Chair of CMC Canada. He currently is on the Board of several other organizations and serves as the President of Biathlon Alberta and the Chair of the Alberta World Cup.
Doug Den Hoed
Doug Den Hoed founded Lumina Solutions Delivery in 1997. Since graduating from the University of Calgary in 1989 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance), he has designed, developed, and led the delivery of many custom software projects using .NET, VBA, OLE/DB, SQL Server and Oracle. His solutions span a variety of clients, industries and interests, and include niche downstream map-based gravity-modelling marketing applications, large upstream budgeting and planning scheduling systems, commercial software packages, technical architecture standards and frameworks, customizable knowledge management software for small businesses, and international arbitrage trading systems, among many others.
John Haslett, CMC
John Haslett is a Certified Management Consultant and currently Chief Operating Officer of Lumina Consulting. After degrees in Computer Science and Accounting, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) prior to moving to Calgary in 1983. Since that time, he has been focused on providing solutions to the Canadian oil and gas industry. As a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, he led the Western Canadian consulting practice and was responsible for the design and development of the QByte FM financial system, which remains the prevalent financial system in the Canadian oil and gas industry to this day. With the sale of PwC Consulting to IBM in 2002, Mr. Haslett assumed responsibility for IBM Canada's Chemical and Petroleum consulting group, a position which he held until joining Lumina in November 2007.
Barry Henderson
Barry Henderson is a professional Management Consultant based in Calgary, specializing in Information Technology and Organizational Management. With over 20 years business experience in the oil patch, Mr. Henderson has worked in all disciplines of upstream oil and gas companies. He has worked for two major Calgary oil and gas companies (upstream and integrated) and several small producers which provided him with functional opportunities in the disciplines of: Information Technology, Finance and Accounting, Procurement / Material Management and Drilling / Completions. Eric Inthof is a Certified Management Consultant based in Calgary, specializing in the management of Information Technology. He has 18 years consulting experience with Lumina and Price Waterhouse. In addition, Mr. Inthof also has eight years of large systems development and management experience. He has 30 years of computing experience in the oil and gas industry both as a consultant and in the employ of a major oil company. Scott Aitken is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) with a career focusing on the management of information systems. He has been a Lumina consultant for over ten years. Prior to joining Lumina, he worked in the IT industry for four years at a major pipeline utility and 5 years at other consulting companies. His consulting skills have grown through a variety of roles including program management, management consulting, project management, process analysis, and infrastructure management. Scott graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Management Information Systems.
Layne Baker
Layne Baker is a professional Management Consultant based in Calgary, specializing in the management of Information Technology. Mr. Baker graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Management (Great Distinction) degree. Of his more than 22 years experience, 20 years have been in the oil and gas industry which included nineteen years consulting experience and one year with a major Canadian international oil and gas company. Scott Freer
Scott Freer has provided software design and development services for the past twelve years to clients in the US and Canada. He has assumed many project roles, including requirements analyst, technical architect, developer, and mentor. Scott has worked with the Microsoft .NET platform for the past 7 years and holds degrees in Medical Laboratory Science (UBC) and Health Information Science (UVIC).

Ken Hackl
Ken Hackl has over 25 years experience as an applications architect and designer, specializing in commercial and back office software applications. Mr. Hackl has designed and developed a number of applications, sold both locally and internationally. He was the original architect and designer of the widely installed PRISM Production Accounting application, and has served as a Senior Database Architect for Price Waterhouse Coopers, and as a Consulting IT Architect for IBM Canada. Mr. Hackl graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in 1977 with a Diploma of Commercial Computer Technology.

Norbert Happ is a Project Manager specializing in the management of Information Technology. He has proven abilities as a software developer, system architect, business analyst and project manager. Norbert has worked in the field of Information Technology since 1993, and has worked for several years for two international management consulting firms (Andersen Consulting and DMR Group). Prior to his career in IT, Norbert was a District Engineer for Schlumberger of Canada - where he worked in the areas of oil and gas reservoir analysis and well completions (5 years). Since joining Lumina early in 2003 Mark has worked almost exclusively in the Oil and Gas industry as a Technical Business Analyst. Mark holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Honours in Comp.Sci.) from the University of Saskatchewan.
Amir Lakhani
Amir Lakhani is a Systems Consultant with twelve years of experience in the Healthcare sector and Oil and Gas industries. He specializes in the delivery, maintenance and support of Information Systems. His skillset includes the Microsoft suite of development tools, Oracle and SQL Server. Amir graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in 1994, with a diploma in Computer Systems Technology.
Malcolm MacKenzie
Malcolm MacKenzie is a Software Development Consultant with eleven years of experience working with a wide variety of clients both inside and outside of the Oil and Gas industry. He is experienced with all tasks surrounding the software development process (from business analysis, system design, and development, through to project leadership, commissioning, testing, and the maintenance and enhancement of legacy systems). Geoff Zakaib is a professional engineer with 30 years of diversified experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Mr. Zakaib has a deep understanding of the operational aspects of O&G and has worked on both the technical and managerial side of the business in Canada and internationally. He also has extensive Information Technology consulting experience with specialization in Business Analysis, Application Development, Information Management and Financial & Non-financial Business Reporting. Mr. Zakaib is the current Vice-Chair of the XBRL Canada (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) Consortium and participates in many IT and O&G industry associations and working groups. Geoff graduated from Queen's University with a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and also holds an MBA from the University of Calgary.
